Chicks; Since they cannot adjust their body temperature in the first days of life, they need the ideal ambient temperature. This temperature should be between 32-34 C.
The ideal environment desired by grown-up animals is 18-24 C and 40-60% relative humidity. If the air temperature stays below or above these values, egg productivity will decrease.
Adequate lighting should be provided in the poultry house so that the animals can easily access feed and water and recognize the environment. While 24-hour lighting is provided in the first days, the period should be reduced gradually in the following days. The light program should be determined according to the structure of the poultry houses, summer and winter conditions. A known basic rule; The light is never increased during the breeding period and never decreased during the egg laying period.
During the egg laying period, 1 nest cell should be placed in the poultry house for 4-5 animals. Nests should be placed in quiet and dim points of the poultry houses.
